Westwood Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for an Electrician to join our head office team in Normanton, Wakefield.
Monday to Friday – 40 hours a week, 8:00AM – 17:00PM 1 hour unpaid lunch.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers equipment.
Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet and customers equipment.
Preparation of equipment for hire.
Terminating cables 50mm to 240mm lugs or Litton from single phase / three phase.
Carry out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.
Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure.
Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
Qualifications/education required:
- High school or equivalent.
- 18th Edition
- Electrical Certification level 2 or 3
- ECS Gold Card
- Forklift (Desired but training can be provided)

- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements
- Running tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
- Inspecting electrical systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Custom circuit design
- Reviewing maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencing work
- Ensuring all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported
